Easyquote Calculator: We developed our very own online quotation calculator in March this year and our customers love it. This is an industry first, and our customers are always writing to us to say how much they enjoy this fun new feature on our website. We designed it to fast track the process, as customers don’t like the hassle and time wasted waiting around for a house visit just to get their quotation.
Now, customers can have their moving quotation 2 minutes flat! Easytruck only charge for the space used in our trucks and the services our customers want, and we put them in complete control all the way. With the Easyquote calculator they simply select the services the want in order to get maximum value for their money. Of course if they want to sit back and relax, we are happy to handle everything.
Lady Packing Team: This month, we are proud to announce the introduction of our Lady Packing Team. Another industry first. 4. What trends do you foresee in the local transport and logistics market?
The slump in the property market has seen a lot of mobility in the market and the development of a trend we call ‘upgrading’. Primarily with customers taking advantage of decreasing rents in high profile areas and upgrading to high quality buildings and more central locations. International City and Sharjah residents are moving to JLT, JLT to the Marina, Springs to the Lakes, and Greens to the Palm. Even within the developments like the Palm, residents are leaving the Shoreline apartments in favor of the more exclusive Tiara residences for example.
I see a shift in market dynamics on the horizon as rental prices begin to settle. With that I think its important to remain fluid, adaptive and have the ability to quickly respond to changes in customer needs, fluctuations in demand as well as competitor activity without affecting the quality of your services. With our highly scalable model I believe we are well positioned to do so.
5. What are the major obstacles that a moving company has to face in the current environment?
The industry has seen a flood of new operators join the ranks recently which is having a positive price impact for the customer, and creating challenging environment for all.

6. What challenges have recently been faced by Easy Truck in the Middle East?
Copy-cat businesses! It’s very difficult to protect a good idea in this market, and in the past 6 months alone I have had two serious instances of the company’s intellectual property being taken and replicated.
While we consider imitation as the highest form of flattery, it’s still disappointing to see all your hard work copied overnight. That said, a few web pages and a bit of fancy technology doesn’t define our business, its the way we service our customers that sets us apart. Now, that’s something you cannot copy overnight.
7. What is the way ahead for Easytruck?
We are looking at exponential growth over the next 24 months and that means three things. More trucks, more value added services, more happy customers!
8. Any new area you plan to concentrate?
Ultimately I would like to refine the business model to a point where I can roll it out internationally. Easytruck is redefining the moving & storage business and I believe our services will be well received in other more mature markets as well as our own backyard. Being an Australian, I do have my sights set on an easytruck business “Down Under” but my English wife and partner assured me that won’t be for another year or two
